Skin peels will help you achieve a radiant, clear complexion and boost the effects of your skincare!

By removing build-ups and stimulating skin regeneration our customised peels can be a great way to treat a range of conditions including acne, pigmentation, sun damage, oil production, fine lines, scarring as well as refreshing thick, tired and dull looking skin.

The treatment involves the application of a peeling agent to your skin for a duration of time, long enough to penetrate only the epidermis or top layer of skin. The peel works by breaking down the outmost layer of tissue, causing dead cells to shed off to reveal fresh, healthy underlying skin.

The strength of the peel determines the number of layers of skin peeled, the length of the downtime and inevitably, the final result.

Epionce Skin Peels

In most cases, skin care products are likely to remain on the surface of the skin providing no benefit – and once washed off the effects are gone. Epionce products deliver a unique blend of active botanical ingredients which are able to penetrate deep within the skin. The results are smooth glowing skin which has a strong healthy barrier to help prevent the effects of ageing.

Depending on the issues you're addressing with the procedure, you can choose a peel in one of two depths:

Epionce Lite Peel

The Epionce Lite Refresh Peel is a chemical peel that will encourage cell turnover and boost the condition of the skin, leaving you feeling refreshed with radiant smooth skin and a brighter complexion.

This peel is perfect to have before a special occasion or for those just looking to achieve a brighter appearance. It is less aggressive than the Epionce Corrective Peel and is good for all skin types, especially sensitive skin. So in general, it is a good all-rounder, with minimal to no flaking after.

Epionce Lite Refresh Peel can be used every 2-4 weeks. It is a good entry point for clients new to skin peels or for those looking for a more frequent treatment that will boost the condition of the skin by smoothing and brightening.

This peel provides a positive anti-oxidant effect, contains anti-inflammatory properties and promotes collagen production.

Epionce Corrective Peel

This is a more advanced treatment and suitable for those with more advanced skin concerns. The Epionce Corrective Peel penetrates deeper into the skin. It works to improve the appearance and texture of the skin by maximum cell turnover and reducing fine lines and wrinkles. We are able to adjust the strength and intensity of the treatment for your particular needs and issues.

With minimal irritation, this peel is suitable for most skin types. However, as with the Epionce Lite Peel, you will have a consultation prior to ensure that this is a suitable treatment for you.

Aftercare

After a chemical peel it is advised (but not essential) to obtain the Epionce Recovery Kit. We recommend this aftercare for 2-4 days following your skin peel treatment. There is enough in this kit to be kept and used again after each skin peel, or continued to be used as a normal home care regimen.

Frequently Asked Questions

Contraindications to skin peels?

Not everyone is suitable for skin peel treatment. The following list are those who should not have a skin peel:

  • Allergic to Aspirin, Salacylic acid, Onions and/or apple extract

  • Roaccutane within the past 6-12 months

  • Facial plastic surgery within the last 4 months (relevant areas)

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding

  • Have frequent or severe outbreaks of cold sores

  • Have a personal history of keloid scarring

  • Inability to follow home care protocol, inc sunscreen protection

What happens after the treatment?

After a skin peel of any depth, your skin may be red, tight, irritated or swollen. However, if you follow our aftercare regimen for sun protection, cleansing, moisturising and applying our Epionce ointments to your skin you will see a dramatic improvement in the look and feel of the treated area. With all peels the new skin is temporarily more sensitive to the sun, so a sun protection will be applied before leaving our clinic.

Results may not be permanent. Over time, age and new sun damage can lead to new lines and skin colour changes. How often you can have a skin peel differs from person to person, depending on your skin type. The Epionce Lite Refresh peel can be used every 2-4 weeks.

How long does it take?

The procedure tends to take around 45 minutes.
