Ear Syringing
Professional earwax removal by fully qualified specialists performed in our clinic
We all know that our hearing is an important sense which we depend on every moment of the day. As we age our hearing can become impaired or due to a medical problem. Since the COVID-19 pandemic which hit in 2019 there has been lots of changes which means that GP surgeries had to change clinic and limit a lot of face to face consults. Also, getting an appointment at a GP surgery is a difficult task due to the ongoing pressures.
A lot of surgeries had no choice but to stop some of their minor clinics. This meant many of the ear wax clinics were stopped. Often a referral if required to audiology which are based in hospital also means patients incur the long waiting times. Again due to increasing pressure as well as population size.
Small amounts of ear wax are fine and maintain a healthy ear canal. However, a larger build-up can lead to the ear being blocked, which leads to reduced hearing.

Some common symptoms of excessive ear wax include pain, itching of the ear, ringing and hearing loss.

Here at Dr D&D Aesthetics Diane (RGN) has over 10 years of experience in performing ear wax irrigation, including an extensive knowledge of the potential complications that can arise, and how to avoid these.
